How to apply

Steps

1 - Creating your Ecandidat account :

  • • You are a student at Aix-Marseille University
    You must click on the "Login" button in the "I am a student at the Université Aix-Marseille" section and log in with the IDs of your Digital Work Environment (ENT).
    You must then click on "Create an account" to continue your application (even if you had an account last year).

    You must complete the information displayed on the screen. An email will be sent to you.
    Do not forget to check your emails and click on the validation link (or copy / paste the link in your browser) to activate your account.
    Otherwise, your account will be destroyed within 5 days. (You will find the details of the procedure in the FAQ).

  • • You are not a student at the University of Aix-Marseille
    You must create an Ecandidat account.
    To create your account, on the home page, you must click on the link "Create an account".

    Enter your Name, Surname and email address. An email will be sent to you.
    Do not forget to check your emails and click on the validation link (or copy / paste the link in your browser) to activate your account.
    Otherwise, your account will be destroyed within 5 days. (You will find the details of the process in the FAQ).

  • • You have lost your username or password
    On the home page, click on "I’ve forgotten my user name" or "I’ve forgotten my activation code" and follow the procedure.
    You will receive an email with your username (your application number) and a new password.


2 - When your account is activated, you must enter information about yourself :

  • Your Personal Information : your Name, Surname and email address are already entered, you must then enter your INE if you have one.
    If you passed the French baccalaureat after 1995 you will have a BEA.
    If you have been enrolled in French higher education since 1995, you will have an INE (National Student ID) which you will find on the French Baccalauréat transcript.
    If you passed the French baccalaureat before 1995 and have never been enrolled in French higher education, you will not have an INE number.
    It will be given to you when you enroll in French Higher Education for the first time.
  • Your bachelor's degree (obtained or in the process of being awarded) or your bachelor's degree equivalence.
  • Your degree obtained after your bachelor's degree.
  • Your External Curriculum : You must enter the course completed outside the University of Aix-Marseille, including the current year.
  • Your Internships.
  • Your professional experiences.

If you are already a student at the University of Aix-Marseille, entering your INE will automatically return information about your address, bachelor's degree and internal curriculum.


3 - Once the information is entered, your file will be created and you can go to the Applications section.

Click + New application to apply for a course.


4 – Once your application has been completed, you will then be able to go to the summary of your application.

In this summary you will find all the information necessary for your application as:

  • Contact addresses
  • Useful dates
  • Supporting documents to provide

Completing your application in electronic format

Applications in Aix-Marseille University ares now made in electronically. You will need to provide:

  • The supporting documents specified in the Vouchers tab.
    They must be uploaded in PDF, JPEG or JPG format and must not exceed 2 MB.
    Some supporting documents are conitional. If you are not concerned by them, you will need to click on the "Not concerned" button.
    When a supporting document is validated, it is no longer possible to modify it.

  • Additional forms available on the Additional Forms tab if applicable.
    The form, once completed, must be exported in PDF. You will then have to save it on your computer and upload it on Ecandidat, in "Supporting documents".

You will be able to submit your application once all the supporting documents have been uploaded (the button to send my application becomes green once the application is complete).

Only electronic documents uploaded to eCandidat are accepted. Documents sent in paper format will not be examined.

By submitting your electronic file on candidatures.univ-amu.fr, you certify the accuracy of the information you have provided as well as the attached documents. In case of an incorrect declaration or an incomplete file, your application will be systematically rejected.

Follow the progression of your application

You have applied for one or more courses.

Once your application has been submitted, you will be able to follow the progression of your application online by logging into your account.
When you are logged in, click on the "Applications" section, select the course application you want to follow by clicking on the line concerned.
Click on the "Open" button, you will access the summary of your application.

In Detailed Information,”, you will see the status of the application. This one can be:

  • Pending : your application needs to be completed with supporting documents.

  • Submitted : your application has been saved in in Ecandidat. It does not mean that your application is complete or that you have been admitted on the course.

  • Complete : your application has been verified all the supporting documents are in compliance and are validated.

  • Incomplete : your application has been checked but one or more supporting documents is not valid. You will receive an email informing you to go to your account to modify the supporting documents.

Result of your course application

You have submitted your application and all your supporting documents are validated. The status of your file becomes "Complete". If the pedagogical committee needs to be consulted, they will issue a décision.

Different decisions can be issued on your application.


The definitive decision :

  • Positive decision : you have been accepted on the course. You must log in to Ecandidat to indicate whether you confirm your application for this course or if you abandon it.

  • Negative decision : your application was not successful.

  • Application not admissible : An inadmissible file is one that is not meant to follow the Ecandidat procedure (case of Campus France applications).


Indefinite decisions :

  • Waiting list : you are on a waiting list. You will be informed by email of the what happens to your application.

  • Supplementary list : you are on the supplementary list. You will be informed by email on what happens next to your application depending on other application withdrawals and the places available.

  • Shortlisted : You must pass one or more pre-selection tests. An email will be sent to you informing you of the date of the tests.
